Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Morgantown, WV is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities, encourage independence, and participate in community activities. You will follow policies, document care, respond to calls and emergencies, and work with a dedicated nursing team.

A current CNA license is required; ability to lift 50 lbs and CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and document appropriately.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities.
• Communicate resident status and appointments to staff and families.
