Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents within a compassionate team. You will assist with ADLs, engage residents and families, and participate in care plans under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities include recording care in clinical records, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting therapies while promoting resident dignity and independence. Salary offers competitive hourly pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Missouri: Current CNA certification
• Illinois: Current CNA certification
• Pennsylvania: Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of the training program, on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry (successfully completed a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program or competency evaluation program and has been enrolled in the PA Department of Health, Division of Nursing Care Facilities Nurse Aide Registry)
• A desire to be part of a person-centered care team
• Must be able to communicate with residents
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort; provides ADL care; responds to call lights; reports observations to the nurse
• Assists with personal care and supports independence of residents
• Observes residents to identify changing needs; reports to the nurse
• Participates in care/service plans to improve resident lives
• Assists during meals and feeds those needing full assistance
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families; provides compassionate support
• Supports resident involvement in daily activities and decisions
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff
• Documents care provided in clinical records
• Maintains a clean and safe environment
