Luther Park Community is seeking a part-time CNA for overnight shifts at the Trinity Center at Luther Park Community in Des Moines, IA. The CNA will provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents, under the supervision of licensed staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to fluently read, write and comprehend English
• Satisfactory completion of the 75 hour nursing assistant course required
• Certified nursing assistant certificate required
• Valid and current on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals
• Background check, physical, drug screen and TB test are required

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to residents as directed by nursing leadership
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, hygiene, bathroom, feeding and baths/showers
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse

Trinity Center is a 120-bed Health Centerwhich specializes in Alzheimer's care as well as skilled and long-term care. CNAs are responsible for providing personal care and assistance of our residents asdirected by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director ofNursing or designee. CNAs will be responsible for helpingresidents with their personal hygiene including assistance with dressing, grooming,going to the bathroom, feeding and baths/showers. CNAs are responsible for observing and reporting changes inresidents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.
