Job summary

Trinity Center at Luther Park Community in Des Moines, IA seeks a full-time CNA to provide personal care and assist residents with daily activities under the guidance of nursing leadership. You will support hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility, meals, and transport, while observing changes and reporting to the unit charge nurse.

A CNA certification and Iowa Nurse Aide Registry are required, with an emphasis on compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified nursing assistant certification required.
• Valid Iowa Nurse Aide Registry on file.
• Fluent reading, writing and comprehension of English.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to residents as directed by the unit charge nurse and nursing leadership.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the unit charge nurse.

CNAs are responsible for providing personal care and assistance of our residents asdirected by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director ofNursing or designee. CNAs will be responsible for helpingresidents with their personal hygiene including assistance with dressing, grooming,going to the bathroom, feeding and baths/showers. CNAs are responsible for observing and reporting changes inresidents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to fluently read, write and comprehend English
• Satisfactory completion of the 75 hournursing assistant course required
• Certified nursing assistant certificaterequired
• Valid and current on the Iowa Nurse AideRegistry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals
