Job summary

Banner Health in Casper, Wyoming is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit on the Day shift. The role involves direct patient care, ADL assistance, charting, and EKG training as part of a dedicated nursing team.

This full-time position supports a 30-bed unit with opportunities for growth and hands-on experience in a fast-paced care environment. BLS certification is required, and new hires must hold a state CNA license.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• CNA in state of practice is required for new hires.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and input/output; document in medical records.
• Report abnormalities and changes to licensed staff; ensure clear communication of patient status.
• Perform delegated procedures and use equipment under supervision, including EKGs where trained.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support to ensure efficient department operations.
• Maintain patient records, charts, and supplies; assist with ordering specimens and transcribing orders.
• Assist with equipment, supplies, and room turnover; transport patients as needed.
• Support unit operations and interact with staff, patients, families, and physicians.
