Job summary

Junction Point Post Acute in Herington, Kansas, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team for per diem coverage. You will perform routine nursing duties under the supervision of licensed staff, support residents with daily activities, and help maintain a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The role requires a valid Kansas CNA certification or current enrollment in a CNA program, plus a minimum of one month of CNA experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or licensed as a CNA.
• Minimum of 1 month experience as a CNA or clinical experience during a CNA class.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a CNA in the state of Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care per established policies and procedures as directed by supervisors.
• Make resident rounds to administer care and verify ID before serving meals or treatments.
• Perform essential tasks like making beds and cleaning surfaces; ensure adequate hydration.
• Demonstrate a genuine desire to serve the ill with patient-centered care.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, visitors and the public.
