Provide routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator
Make resident rounds to administer quality nursing care, verifying identification before administering care or serving food to ensure accurate treatment
Perform essential care tasks, including making beds, cleaning bedside and overbed tables, and ensuring adequate hydration
Demonstrate a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm, with a strong focus on patient-centered care
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or licensed as a certified nursing assistant
Minimum of 1 month's experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Certification as a CNA in the state of Kansas
