Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit. This unit prepares patients for surgical procedures across Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular and General Surgery.

The Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Position is 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) with 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• 1+ year working in a hospital environment as a CNA strongly preferred.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire)
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.

The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
