Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA) for the Perioperative Care Unit in Bellevue, WA. The role supports patient prep for surgery across Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology, Orthopedics and more.

The position is 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) with evening shifts. CNA with MA-R licensure sponsorship and CPR certification are required, plus strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NA-C certification required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA Training Program or equivalent.
• 1+ year hospital CNA experience preferred.
• MA-R licensure required; sponsor available.
• Health Care Provider CPR required.
• Strong customer service and communications skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; computer familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist in perioperative prep and patient/family support.
• Document care and communicate changes to the team.

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is currently seeking Patient Care Technicians (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit. This unit is responsible to prepare patients for surgical procedures. Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery. The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

0.8 FTE /32 hours per week

Evenings 8 or 12 hour shift / Schedule TBD

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• 1+ year working in a hospital environment as a CNA strongly preferred.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire)
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
