Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities for residents in Suffolk, VA. You will support residents to maintain independence, help with meals, mobility, and participate in activity programs while following policies and documentation requirements.

You will work closely with the nursing team, respond to care needs, report incidents, and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license in good standing with the State Board.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence and participate in activities.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintain resident rooms and common areas.
• Report incidents or care concerns to appropriate staff and document appropriately.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance and emergencies; stay calm during crises.
• Help plan and conduct activity programs for residents and support move-in transitions.
