Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with activities of daily living, support social and recreational activities, and maintain a safe, caring environment. You will document resident status and coordinate with the nursing team to ensure quality care.

The role requires a current CNA license, strong communication, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and daily living tasks.
• Conduct housekeeping duties and maintain resident areas.
• Report incidents and changes in resident condition to appropriate staff.
• Support move-in transitions and provide emotional support to new residents.
• Document properly in the Daily Log and clinical records.
