Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living, promote independence, and participate in meaningful activities. The role includes coordinating with the nursing team to ensure safety and quality care.

Responsibilities include ADL support, incident reporting, documentation, activity planning, and resident transportation. You will work with a team, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents involving residents and complete documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties and keep common areas clean as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Communicate status, appointments, admissions, and transfers in writing and verbally.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Document changes and interventions in Daily Log and clinical records and notify family as directed.
