Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, VA seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and care needs. You will document incidents, assist with mobility, meals, and activities, and communicate status to the nursing team with accuracy and empathy.

Responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, responding to calls, and participating in care planning. A current CNA license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the relevant state and remain in good standing.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Able to lift and transfer residents with proper body mechanics.
• Wears designated uniform, name badge, and a smile.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN, ED, or appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities.
• Document resident status and appointments in logs and records.
