Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional staff in patient care across Orange County locations. Primary duties include recording vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and keeping the unit clean and safe.

You will also help stock supplies, operate hospital equipment, and handle routine clerical tasks while collaborating with the care team to ensure quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
• Must read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be CNA/LVN certified or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA).
• Approved workplace violence responder training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
