Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean, safe unit. You will stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, perform routine clerical tasks, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays. Required are basic medical terminology, English proficiency, and BLS; CNA/LVN or enrollment in a nursing program with at least 1

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be CNA, LVN, or enrolled with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in acute care.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA).

• Takes and records vital signs for patients.
• Assists patients with hygiene and elimination needs.
• Maintains a clean and safe unit environment.
