Job summary

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must read, write and speak English effectively.
• Must be certified Nurses Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Aids professional nursing personnel by taking and recording vital signs and assisting with patient hygiene and elimination.
• Maintains a clean and safe unit environment and assists with stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed.
