Senior Helpers of Greater Richmond is hiring caregivers to support seniors in their homes across Greater Richmond. If you have experience in assisted living or healthcare, join our team to provide compassionate, in-home care and help clients maintain independence and quality of life.

We value caring professionals who enjoy helping others, communication with clients, and a flexible schedule. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with mileage reimbursement and in-home training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of CNA/NA/PCA experience preferred.
  • Willing to accept new PCAs/CNAs and provide in‑home care training.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation required - may need to drive clients in own vehicle. Will be reimbursed for mileage.
  • Must be willing to work in homes with pets.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate care records and notable changes in condition.

If you are a CNA, PCA, Nurse Aide

Responsibilities
  • Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support to seniors.
  • Assistance with Daily Activities: Help with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure they adhere to prescribed medication schedules.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the senior.
  • Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings.
  • Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the senior's health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition.
Caregiver Qualifications
  • 1 year of CNA/NA/PCA experience preferred
  • Willing to accept new PCAs/CNAs and provide in‑home care training.

  • Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
  • Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
