Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include daily living activities, vital signs, and supportive care to maintain a safe, respectful environment.

This full-time position requires CNA certification and ongoing competency testing; benefits include health/dental/vision options and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
• Annual competency testing with at least 12 hours continuing education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, mobility and ROM.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and participate in wellness activities and documentation.
