Job summary

The Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with meals while maintaining safety and dignity for each resident.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, communication of changes to nurses, and participation in wellness activities, with a focus on infection control and respectful, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 to qualify for CNA duties.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board, or enrollment/certification within four months.
• Annual competency testing with continuing education credits (12 hours).
• Possibility of Sanford driver status if applicable and licensed.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, toileting, grooming and meals.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and walking using proper techniques.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and help with infection control.
