Job summary

Ebenezer and Jones-Harrison Senior Living in Minneapolis, MN seek a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR) to support TCU/LTC residents in our skilled nursing facility. The role offers casual hours, a flexible schedule, and a small weekend commitment.

Responsibilities include personal cares, vitals, mobility assistance, EMR documentation, and coordinated care with staff. Active MDH Nursing Assistant Registry or participation in Ebenezer's CNA pathway is required or offered.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing Assistant (NAR) on the MDH registry by start date, or in Ebenezer CNA pathway with 4-month post‑hire to register.
• Ability to work with geriatric residents and diverse populations.
• Experience in customer service settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares per care plan (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers).
• Check and record vitals as per care model.
• AM/PM/NOC cares including peri care and catheter care.
• Turn, lift, or transfer residents as needed.
• Observe residents and report status clearly to staff.
• Document in the EMR system.
• Address resident and family concerns.
• Provide reports to staff during shifts.
• Maintain room cleanliness and report equipment issues.

We are look for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR) to support our TCU/LTC residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility- Jones Harrison! This role provides hands on care and support services for our adult residents at our spacious care center in Minneapolis, MN near beautiful Cedar Lake in a residential neighborhood. This weekend, patient support position includes;

Responsibilities

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
• Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
• AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
• Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner

Required

• Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – OR- Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.)

Preferred

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers
• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
• Work experience in a customer service setting
