Farwell Care Center is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff and administer medications per physician orders in a long-term care setting. The role requires current CNA certification and CPR/BLS, with Texas certification as a medication aide preferred and at least one year in long-term care.

Formación

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification.
• Certified in Texas as a medication aide.
• At least one year of experience in a long term care.

Responsabilidades

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed.
• Follows established standards to implement facility policies and procedures related to medication administration.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and record information related to medication administration.
• Administer and document medications to residents according to Dr. orders.
• Monitor residents for drug therapy effectiveness and adverse effects; notify nurse of issues.
• Assist in nurse aide duties when not administering meds.
• Distribute and document snacks and supplements ordered.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services as required.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations; participate in assessments and reporting.
