Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a Medication Aide in the State.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a nursing assistant in the State.
• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care preferred; 6 months CMA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications under supervision of a licensed nurse and in compliance with state/federal regulations and facility policies.
• Document medication administration and other duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide direct resident care including assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and hydration as directed.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure medication cart is organized, stocked, and secure.
• Respect resident dignity and privacy, communicate professionally, and report incidents per policy.
• Assist with care plans and coordinate with other resident services as needed.
