Job summary

The Medication Aide role in Texas requires CNAs and aRegistered Medication Aide certification to administer medications under a licensed nurse's supervision. The individual assists residents with daily activities, documents observations, and ensures confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.

Prior experience in an assisted living environment is preferred, along with a high school diploma or GED. Must be 18 or older with reliable transportation and the ability to perform lifting tasks up to 75

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; must be at least 18 years old.
• Certified as CNA and Registered Medication Aide in the state.
• At least six months of experience in an assisted living setting preferred.
• Must adhere to HIPAA privacy policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses medications under the direction of a licensed nurse per procedures.
• Provide covered PCA services and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document observations and report changes to the supervising Resident Care Director.
• Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
