Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician / CNA to deliver safe basic care, monitor vital signs, and support daily living activities on a hospital floor.

You will document patient information, collaborate with the care team, and participate in continuous patient safety and quality care initiatives. This role is hourly, with shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant required.
• CPR certification (AHA HealthCare Provider BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe basic care to patients, including vital signs and daily living activities.
• Record information in patient charts and communicate with care team.
• Assist in activities and monitor patient conditions as needed.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Shift Differentials

• 3rd shift - $2.25/hour
• weekends - $1.75/hour

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
