OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care, take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, collect specimens, and monitor patients. Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:

• 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
• Weekend: $1.75/hour

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
