OSF HealthCare in Rockford, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to deliver safe, compassionate basic care to patients. You will take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, collect specimens, and observe changes in patients.

You will document findings and collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care. The role requires CNA certification and CPR/BLS; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant; CPR/Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS.
• PREFERRED: High School Diploma or GED fitness for role.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe basic patient care including vital signs and daily living activities.
• Record pertinent information in patient charts and communicate with care team.
• Assist with specimen collection and monitor patient condition as directed.

This is an Hourly position.

• Weekend: $1.75/hour

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• Other Licenses/Certifications: CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
