OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe basic care to patients, including vital signs, daily living activities, specimen collection, and close observation. This hourly role requires compassion and attention to detail within a hospital setting.

You will record information in patient charts, collaborate with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care, and may supervise patients as needed depending on department needs.

Competenze

• CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current credential.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Collect specimens as required.
• Document findings in patient charts.
• Communicate with care team to ensure continuity of care.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
