Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) to provide safe, basic care to patients, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities. You will document information in patient charts and liaise with the care team to ensure continuity of care.

This role may involve supervising patients as needed. Qualified candidates hold CNA certification and CPR certification, with at least 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare

Qualifications

• CNA certified and CPR certified healthcare professional.
• Experience in clinical healthcare environments preferred.
• Ability to support patients' physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs.

Responsibilities

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

$2.25/hour for 3rd shift differential

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
