Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Gabriel Valley in West Covina, CA, is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to assist in patient care and daily living activities. You will support RNs/LVNs, document vitals, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges in a 76-bed facility.

Required are a Nursing Assistant certification, BLS, and at least six months of acute or long-term care experience. Fluency in English and strong communication skills are essential for shifts and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care facility.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care.
• Take and record vital signs and document promptly.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions and transfers.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Respond to patient needs and call lights promptly.
• Support RN and LVN/LPN with procedures.
• Serve and remove meal trays and assist with feeding.
