Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nurses in providing patient care in a long-term acute care setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, positioning, feeding, and comfort measures while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Take and record vital signs and document accurately.
• Prepare patient room and equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond to patient call lights and requests.
• Under RN direction, perform routine treatments and assist with procedures.
• Assist with restraints under the direction of an RN.
• Serve and remove patient meal trays and assist with feeding.
