Job summary

Kindred Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in patient care under the direction of professional nurses. You will help with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure a clean, comfortable patient environment in a busy hospital unit.

The role requires fluent English, good communication, and the ability to work under pressure. Six months of acute or long-term care experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to organize tasks and work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Consult with supervisor and communicate unit activities and problems.
• Provide general nursing care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and document accurately.
• Prepare rooms for admissions/transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
• Assist in admission, transfer, discharge procedures and handle patient belongings.
• Answer call lights and paging system promptly.
• Assist with routine treatment procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with restraints and patient positioning.
• Support RN/LPN with complex treatments.
• Serve and remove patient meals and assist with feeding.
