Job summary

Kindred Hospital Santa Ana is a long-term acute care hospital providing extended recovery, with 24-hour clinical care seven days a week. The unit partners with physicians to support wellness and delivers comprehensive patient care in a setting between I-5 and Santiago Creek.

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed staff, assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and help ensure a clean, safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.
• Regular attendance is expected.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stress.
• Maintain good working relationships within and across departments.
• Travel is not required (0%).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs and document timely.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist with patient meals and feeding as needed.
• Respond to patient call lights and paging system promptly.
• Support routine treatment procedures under RN guidance.
• Assist with restraints and patient positioning as directed by RN.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
