Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a skilled nursing setting. The role involves recording vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring safety per established policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with feeding, hygiene, mobility, and monitoring patients. The position requires a valid CNA certification and state licensure, with background checks and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by state where services are provided or due within three (3) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts accurately per policy.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations per policy.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care for adult geriatric patients per age-specific standard.
• Assist with ADL and daily living activities as directed by therapists or nurses.
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, mobility, and positioning of patients as needed.
