Job summary

Carle Health is seeking skilled Nursing Assistants (CNA) to support Registered Nurses in providing comprehensive patient care on the unit. The role involves direct patient care, hygiene, feeding, mobility, documentation and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifying candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS, and CNA certification or CNA coursework completed, with CNA experience in recent years. Training and certification within 30 days are expected.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• High school diploma or GED.
• CNA certification or CNA coursework completed.
• At least one nursing clinical experience; CNA within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities as delegated by the nurse.
• Provides hygiene, nutritional, elimination, skin and comfort care.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Maintains patient safety and privacy; reports to nurse promptly.
• Completes documentation and ensures supply/resource efficiency.
• Keeps unit clean, organized and well-maintained.
