Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months or equivalent training or CNA work within past 24 months or nursing clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer lights and telephone with good guest relations.
• Pass trays and ice.
• Transport patients to other units/departments.
• Assist with hygiene care for patients of all ages.
• Maintain clean linens and patient rooms; dispose of linens and trash properly.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Obtain intake and output; document in patient records.
• Turn or reposition patients; assist with Foley/bedside care and vital signs.
