Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Battle Lake provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of an RN. The role includes daily living assistance, vital signs, and support for activities of daily living in a caring, Christian environment.

Required is an active CNA certification or enrollment in a CNA program with state registration. The facility offers benefits for eligible staff, night/weekend differentials, education support, and flexible PRN shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and meals.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, ROM and range of motion exercises.
• Document interactions and support wellness and recreational activities.
