Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Battle Lake delivers resident-centered care and daily living assistance under RN supervision in a long-term care setting. You’ll help with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and monitoring vital signs, while maintaining infection control and reporting changes to the nursing team.

A CNA certification is required or in progress; high school diploma or GED is preferred, with flexibility for varying shifts and PRN scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with the State Board or be enrolled in a CNA training program to obtain certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16 and prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Continuing education: at least 12 hours annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises.
• Support meals, dining, hydration, and nutrition for residents.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and PPE usage.
