Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician for full-time night shifts. You will assist the patient care team with basic needs, monitor patients, document data, and support the health unit with coordinating services.

The role requires active CNA certification, BLS, and solid computer skills. You may perform Health Unit Coordinator tasks and contribute to a safe, compassionate patient environment on multiple Intermountain facilities in Utah.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CNA certification obtained within 120 days of hire or within the past year.
• Fundamentals of Nursing Course with passing grade in the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, water, ambulation, and comfort.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly and escalate changes in condition.
• Monitor patients and respond to needs; may perform telemetry duties.
• Transport medications to RN as required; collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator duties, answer phones, transcribe orders, manage unit records.
