Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality assistive care to residents. You will help with activities of daily living, encourage independence, and support participation in community activities to enhance meaningful experiences.

You will report incidents, complete documentation, and work with the nursing team to ensure resident safety. A valid CNA license and strong communication are required; weekend and holiday availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and complete appropriate documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Remain calm and competent during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining rooms and activities.
• Check on residents and ensure attendance at meals and activities.
• Report ill residents and status to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information in writing.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and emotional support.
• Document changes in Daily Log and clinical records; notify family as directed.
