Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA Field in Ocala to provide compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Six months CNA experience preferred in hospital or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical care to patients (bathing, feeding, transfers, positioning).
• Reinforce dressings; follow infection control procedures.
• Perform light housekeeping in patient areas and replenish supplies.
• Educate families and caregivers about care and emotional support.

Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated CNA Field to work with us in Ocala while providing exceptional care.

Schedule: 4 days, 10am-8pm with rotating weekends

What You'll Do

• Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas, including laundry, trash disposal, meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and replenishing supplies.
• Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care, disease processes, and emotional support for patients.

What You'll Need

• Experience: Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
• Licensure:
  • Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
  • Valid Florida State Driver’s License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
