Job summary

Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, FL is seeking a caring CNA Field to provide compassionate end-of-life care in Marion County.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, part-time 24 hours a week.

You will deliver physical care to patients, assist with daily activities, reinforce dressings, and collaborate with a supportive hospice team to educate families while maintaining infection control and dignity for patients.

Qualifications

• Six months of CNA experience preferred in hospital or long-term care.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical care to patients including bathing, changing linens, feeding, ambulation, transfers, ROM and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Perform light housekeeping in patient areas and restock supplies.
• Collaborate with Hospice team to educate families on care and disease processes.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8am to 8p on Saturday and Sunday, part-time 24 hours a week

What you'll Do

• Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas, including laundry, trash disposal, meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and replenishing supplies.
• Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care, disease processes, and emotional support for patients.

What you'll Need

• Experience: Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
• Licensure:
  • Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
  • Valid Florida State Driver's License
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
