Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate CNAs for evening shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) under new ownership. Full-time and part-time positions available with competitive pay and benefits.

CNAs work under a licensed nurse to provide resident-centered care and promote independence. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and shift differential; sign-on bonus of $750 is offered for joining the team.

Qualifications

• Missouri CNA certification in good standing.
• Completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care per individualized care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning and devices.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with feeding and hydration while encouraging independence.
• Respond to call lights promptly and courteously.
• Maintain clean, safe resident rooms and hygiene.
• Document care provided accurately and timely.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Communicate with residents, families, nurses and team members.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents while promoting dignity, comfort, safety, and independence. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA assists with daily living activities, monitors resident well-being, and helps create a positive, caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene

• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of assistive devices

• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse

• Assist with feeding and hydration while encouraging resident independence

• Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously

• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident rooms

• Change bed linens and assist with housekeeping tasks related to resident care

• Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition

• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members

• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and quality of life at all times

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing

• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program

• Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred but not required

• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to read, write, and accurately document resident care
