Job summary

Heritage Wellness & Rehabilitation in Independence, MO is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for the Night Shift on a full-time basis. You will provide hands-on resident care under the supervision of licensed nurses, assisting with ADLs and promoting dignity, comfort, and safety.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and reliable scheduling. We welcome applicants with a Missouri CNA certification; training and ongoing support are provided to help you grow

Qualifications

• Current Missouri CNA certification in good standing.
• Completed State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, assisted living, memory care or healthcare preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and committed to high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and hygiene.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, repositioning and use of mobility equipment.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the licensed nurse promptly.
• Respond to resident call lights quickly with compassionate assistance.
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding as needed.
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident rooms and change bed linens as necessary.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse.
• Document resident care accurately and completely.
• Follow infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses and the care team.
• Promote resident dignity, respect and quality of life.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands‑on care to residents while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and comfort. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you'll assist residents with activities of daily living and play a vital role in helping them achieve the highest possible quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding resident care
