Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our nursing team on evening shifts under new ownership by OPCO Skilled Management. We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with a focus on safe, resident-centered care.

As a CMT, you will administer medications, monitor residents, and support daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse, while maintaining compliance and promoting dignity and comfort for

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification, if required by state regulations.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately following physician orders and state regulations.
• Observe residents for medication effects and report changes to the nurse.
• Document medication administration accurately and timely.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Monitor residents for adverse medication reactions or changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Communicate with nurses, residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Support resident dignity, comfort, and independence.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Keep a clean, safe medication cart and work area.

Position Summary

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) provides safe, accurate medication administration while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CMT assists residents with daily care needs, monitors resident conditions, and helps promote a safe and comfortable living environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and state regulations

• Observe residents for medication effectiveness and report changes in condition to the licensed nurse

• Document medication administration accurately and timely

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

• Monitor residents for adverse medication reactions or changes in condition

• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation

• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medication cart and work area

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required

• Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification, if required by state regulations

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, or healthcare preferred

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
