Job summary

Good Samaritan Mandan Sunset is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to care for residents in a 128-bed long-term care facility. The NA will perform daily living activities, assist with basic health care needs, and support the care team under RN supervision.

The position includes evening shifts from 2:00pm to 10:15pm, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, vital signs, and assisting with mobility and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and vital signs as needed.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, range of motion, mobility, and mobility devices.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and psychosocial engagement.
