Job summary

Good Samaritan Mandan Sunset is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care facility. You will deliver daily living assistance under RN supervision, assist with meals, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include recording vitals, communicating changes to the charge nurse, assisting with transfers and mobility, and supporting wellness activities. Weekend shifts 6:00am-2:15pm, 40 hours weekly; full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or certification in progress.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required annually.
• For applicable states, registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Sanford Category II Driver possible; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Support meals and dining, including feeding and hydration.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness activities.
