Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Mandan Sunset, part of Good Samaritan Society, provides resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care facility, with evening shifts from 2:00pm to 10:15pm and every other weekend. You will help with daily living activities, document care, and support the interdisciplinary team under the supervision of an RN.

This role requires a CNA certification, or enrollment in a certification program within four months, and a commitment to infection prevention, safety, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months of start.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours CEU required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under an RN.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, and mobility; monitor vital signs.
• Aid with meals, notes on resident interactions, and participate in recreational activities.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
