Rockport Healthcare Services in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under supervision during the 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am shifts.

The CNA performs resident rounds, assists with meals, personal care, and daily activities, while upholding safety and facility policies. Strong English communication and compassionate demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CNA program or licensed CNA.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure during certification.
• Desire to care for the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.
• Must relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, and potentially hostile residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Serve drinking water and assist in dining room as needed.
• Dress residents and assist with dressing.
• Assist with meals and feeding as necessary.
• Keep incontinent residents clean and dry; change linens as needed.
• Ensure nurse call system is accessible and respond to calls promptly.
• Report complaints, abuse, medication concerns, and hazards to the Charge Nurse.
• Attend in-service training and perform other duties as directed.
