Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities.

You will work with a nursing team, follow policies, document care and communicate resident status, and participate in activities. Must have CNA license, CPR/First Aid, ability to lift, and willingness for flexible weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license in the state of the community.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Contributing member of nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Politeness and consideration of residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and document appropriately.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist needs during meals, movement, and transfers.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming appointments to the team.
