Job summary

Freedom Village Holland is hiring a CNA to provide personal and non-personal care to residents in a long-term care setting. You will support independent living while ensuring dignity, safety, and resident engagement. Documentation of care and timely response to calls for aide are essential.

Shifts include 1st or 2nd, Mon-Fri options, weekends or every other weekend—letting you build a schedule that works for you. Competitive hourly pay and sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required in Michigan.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Strong communication with residents.
• Ability to document care accurately.
• Ability to transfer residents (50+ lbs) with proper equipment/support.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and non-personal care to residents.
• Support independent living while offering needed assistance.
• Promote dignity, safety, and resident engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of care and observations.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and “Call for Aide” alerts.
• Take vital signs as indicated.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and bed changes.
• Escort residents to dining, therapy, activities, and appointments.
• Make daily rounds to ill residents.
• Keep Supervisor informed of resident status.
• Monitor medication compliance.
• Assist with tray service and meal support.
• Participate in ongoing resident assessments.
• Attend weekly update and Health Committee meetings.
• Support residents and families as needed.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Hiring: Full & Part-time

Salary: $16.50–$22.25/hr (includes shift differentials)

Sign‑On Bonus: $2,000 PT / $3,500 FT

Qualifications

• May be exposed to communicable diseases or body fluids
